A Real Friend

So, today I tripped while trying to go up my friend named Amanda’s stairs.

My toe nail didn’t come off, but it became blue and was bleeding.

I hate blood. I hate it with my life. I have never fainted because of it, nor have I gotten sick because of it, but this time was different. I really felt like I was going to faint when I looked at it. I didn’t, but I really felt like it. I am such a wimp. I had to sit down for 5 minutes. My friends mom put a band aide on it and away we went, off to the theatre.

After our four hours at the theatre I needed to switch my bandaide. I didn’t want to though, because I thought it would hurt, and plus I didn’t want to look at it.

So, without me even asking (because I would never ask anyone to do this for me) Amanda, my friend,  sat me down and switched my band aides for me. Now I know that sounds super disgusting and really weird… but It made me think.

How many people would do that for me? Umm.. I can garuntee no one that was there today would ever. It made me realize the things that friends do for each other. It also made me realize how the little things like that can make you like a person so much more.

It makes me wonder if I would ever do that for someone else…

I guess what I’m trying to say is, a real friend is someone that will switch your band aides for you when you can’t. :D
